Description

The Filson Historical Society’s 26th Annual Distinctive Dwellings House Tour will feature eight homes with beautiful architecture, stunning landscaping, and unique personalities. After the tour, participants are invited to a cocktail reception at the home of Sara and Jim Haynes. A detailed packet of tour notes will be mailed to all participants in September. The notes will be researched and written by John David Myles, whose avocation is the study of architecture. He is an avid observer and frequent lecturer on local architectural history.

We would like to thank our sponsors for the 2019 House Tour: Blue Grass Motorsport; Kentucky Select Properties; Outdoor Lighting Perspectives; The Plant Kingdom; Nanette and George Tafel, Realtors; Marilyn and Brooks Bower; Advance Ready Mix; Dreamlight Antiques; Commonwealth Bank & Trust Company; Ben Tyler Building and Remodeling; Wiltshire Pantry; Parthenon LLC; Mountjoy Chilton Medley; and the Glenview Trust Company. We would also like to thank the House Tour Committee for their tireless efforts to select homes to feature on the tour and the homeowners for opening their homes for viewing.
