What happens to an organization’s mission during times of growth or change? How do institutions balance secular service and religious affiliation? Where do we need to look to recognize enduring values? Join us to explore these questions and more in a special guided tour and discussion of the Filson’s new exhibit Continuity of Care: Transforming Jewish Hospital for Modern Louisville, 1945-1980. Curator Dr. Abby Glogower will highlight tough choices and major mid-century shifts in Jewish Hospital’s history. Rabbi Dr. Nadia Siritsky will discuss ways that these issues have informed Jewish Hospital’s more recent past. Rabbi Dr. Nadia Siritsky is Vice President of Mission at Jewish Hospital KentuckyOne Health. Dr. Abigail Glogower is Curator of Jewish Collections at the Filson Historical Society.
