Description
Roberto de Leon, FAIA, is a co-founder of de Leon & Primmer Architecture Workshop (DPAW), a collaborative design studio internationally recognized for work that draws inspiration from regional traditions of craft, fabrication and building. Focusing on public projects with a cultural, civic or not-for-profit basis, the firm cultivates an understanding of contextual specificity as a thoughtful relationship between place, time and local culture. In implementing this approach, DPAW purposefully embraces a rigor of simplicity and precision, with the underlying premise that innovation necessarily equals economy. This lecture will focus on a selection of the firm’s current range of work, specifically highlighting the design approaches & explorations unique to each project. Roberto de Leon is a partner and co-founder of de Leon & Primmer Architecture Workshop (DPAW), an award-winning design studio focusing on public projects with a cultural, civic or not-for-profit basis.
