Description

Political conventions have a rich history in our country and have often provided much intrigue and suspense.  Contentious internal battles have occurred over the years with interesting choices and results.  This lecture will cover the history of political conventions and the amazing and sometimes shocking outcomes.  This year’s conventions will more than likely continue the tradition of keeping us on the edge of our seats awaiting the conventions final decisions this summer.  Thomas Simms Jr. has a passion for politics and history.   He obtained a B.A. in Political Science and a MAT in Social Studies from the University of Louisville.  Mr. Simms taught Social Studies for over 30 years at Trinity High School and St. Xavier High School.  He earned his law degree from Chase School of Law and now practices at the English Law Group.
